[20-23] James
admonishes believers to:

Build each other up in the faith [truth found in
the Word of God]

Pray in the power of the Holy Spirit [Ephesians 6:18
– pray is an offensive weapon in the spiritual life; Romans 8:26 - the Spirit
intercedes on our behalf, praying for us]

Await mercy [God’s care and concern for mankind]
and eternal life from Jesus Christ
·
Show mercy [care and concern] to the weak in
faith
·
Rescue others [by sharing the gospel] and
keeping them from eternal judgment
·
Show mercy [care and concern] to unbelievers;
while hating the sin [anything in the flesh] that contaminates their lives
