We have been needing to get vinyl siding put on our house for sometime now. The problem is that before we can get the siding installed we have several things that need to be fixed. One of those items is the {surround} around our garage door. It droops in the center and needs to be replaced.
We decided if we are {every going to get the house fixed} we'll have to get started on our to do list.
We made our way to Meeks Lumber and strapped an 18' {8x10} over the entire truck. Hahaha!!! It was so funny because the board was {super} long and we didn't have a trailer to haul it on.
Well, we improvised...what can I say...
We were able to removed the old surround and replace it with nice {pressure treated} lumber that will withstand the elements for years to come.
Jeremiah put about a million screws in it {to keep it from drooping} and we have a nice finished product.
We replaced the top and the two sides with {8x10 Lumber} which it will be wrapped in metal clad and seal the garage door nicely... I wasn't able to get a picture {at the end of the day} because a crazy storm blew through Northwest Arkansas...we had 60 mile/hr winds and we finished {just in time}.
Anyway, I will post more pictures as we continue to make progress on this project.
