Once we left Amarillo, TX we saw several people headed west toward Aburquerque, NM with hot air balloons. The {balloon fiesta} is going to be there this weekend and next weekend.
Once we got to Alburquerque we decided to stop and have some lunch at Texas Land and Cattle. The terrain is so different here - beautifully mountainous and dry. Very different from our lanscape in Northwest Arkansas.
Then we hit an REI store. We had never been to one before so we thought it would be fun. We saw this lovely vehicle in the parking lot!!!

We're about an hour out of Durango and going to go & get settled in. We'll be there ten days... Woot!!! Woot!!!
